Out of the Noise:
Conversations about Community
Out of the Noise is a series of video interviews with people in Southern New Hampshire about how social media has changed communication and connection. Each person reflects on what they miss from before and what feels better now. The project brings together individual voices to explore a larger cultural shift. It’s an ongoing, local collection of conversations about how we relate to one another.
Out of The Noise - Project Announcement
It feels like something’s changing related to our awareness of our relationship to social media.
The writing I’ve been doing seems to be pointing that way in me and I’m noticing it in other people, too. I think we’re at an important time right now and I think we need to examine what’s going on and document it.
To that end, I’m starting a video interview project I’m calling “Out of the Noise: Conversations about Connection”. I’d like to interview A LOT of people in the Southern NH area. I’ll be asking two questions. “What do you miss about the time before social media?” and “What is better, now?” This will be an ongoing project and I’m looking for collaboration and input. You’ll start to see interviews popping up. Give them a watch and let me know what you think!
